Say you broke up with someone or someone broke up with you. Should they returned your gifts and vice versa? Should you still be wearing the stuffs that they give you and lied to your new s/o that you bought them? j/c.

I still have gifts from my first boyfriend. I don't think you have to throw anything away because they are a gift. When you get married it may be an issue because your husband may disagree with the kind of gifts they are, but a gift is a gift.
In a marriage, you'll be required to throw away gifts, pictures, and other memorabilia from past relationships.
If your still single and mingling. Gifts are fine. You never know who you'll end up with.

Depends...
But you shouldn't lie to your new s/o...
My wife and I still have stuff from our past relationships and it doesn't bother us because all we care about is that we love each other now... O0

I believe you return it if you want to hurt Thier feelings.
-
You don't even need to return it to the ex. Just throw it away.
-
Gold/electronics/appliances=pawn it LOL
Anything else=trash bin
Why would you keep something from someone in which you are no long together? You live to move forward and the past is only good to visit (means=talk about it or have a momentary thought).
Don't be like Rose in the movie "titanic": kept something for decades and in the end, she trashed it :idiot2:

That's why you shouldn't return it because of resentment and bitter feelings.

I definitely agree to pawning expensive items and then throwing away everything else or giving it away to charity.

If I had those, I probably keep it too...

If you're going to bury your relationship. You should returned their gifts, if they don't want it, just burn it. Wearing their stuff, only shows how you don't have any self respect or value. You only take a person's gift and wore them if they have meaning. If it has no meaning, burn them!... Besides, why keep things that can cause misunderstandi ng with your new significant other?
Some of you women, are truly shameless and despicable to even want to pawn expensive gifts. I just hope misfortune don't befall your future.lol

As long as you are not emotionally cought with your shitty (past) relationship, You bought it! Why? You have spent time, energy, and $$ into it. Move on and start loving!

nope, I don't keep nothing at all. I'd prefer not to have any issue with the next woman I'm with.
I even returned a expensive watch she bought years ago for me when we first dated. Also told her to keep what I bought for her as gifts. Trash it, burn it, sell it. It's up to her.
I'd preferred to start a clean slate. I will always buy my own stuff all the time before her and after her.

I don't keep anything. I wouldn't want my 💑 to keep theirs either. Why? We start fresh. Throw away your old trash.
-
Just re-gift.

If its home-made porn clips/pics then I'd strongly recommend that you get rid of it asap before that new person finds out how nasty you were in the past. Otherwise..., don't get all emotional about those material stuffs.
