N.C. Woman Murdered Husband's Co-Worker Because She Mistakenly Thought They Were Having an Affair

A North Carolina woman was sentenced to life in prison without parole for killing her estranged husband’s co-worker in a jealous rage because she mistakenly thought the woman was having an affair with him, PEOPLE confirms.

On Wednesday, Marlene Johnson, 66, collapsed after a jury in Rowan County found her guilty of first-degree murder in the 2013 stabbing death of Shirley Pierce, 62, local station WSOC-TV reports.
