hope you are growing some too
lucky for us midwest folks
we don't have a water/drought problem
so we can just plant and forget
go out two months later to pick up the fruits
hahahah

i see my neighbor coming over with a scissor and cutting some of my onion greens from last year
no 6ft tall wooden fences
just don't pull my bulbs
that's for me

Mine regrow each year like the mints. The roots just reproduce without me planting new ones in.
I love growing them. They grow so fast. Mine are ready now. If I pick them, soon they'll sprout new ones.

I'm a mad scientist by trade so this year, I did an experiment with hydro or growing with just water vs growing in soil. I bought a solar water pump to keep the flow of water going. I am growing tomatoes and strawberries and orka and Carolina ghost pepper reaper or however you call it.
With hydro, I added chemicals that you see in miracles grow but mine is more like organic cuz I added the chemical in the pure form.
At first, the chemical was not the right mixture so the plant grew but then died. I lowered the dosage and found the right combo. It grows faster than the ground for sure.
I just built a greenhouse to see if the added heat and sunlight would make a difference. The outside temp was at 80 degrees the other day but inside my homemade green house, temp reading was at 103. Results? Leaf grew 5x bigger.
Next project.... adding vents. If temp when 80 is 103, when outside temp 100, inside 200? Too hot will burn off the plant.

Don't talk to this criminal infested guy. I'm talking about gardening for science and this guy thinks I'm going to give him my secret formula to help him grow them candy weed.
Well jokes on you buddy. I just threw out some keywords like drugs, weed, cannibal cannibus, child sex trafficking, child porn, zdn, just to tip off the feds.

What do you grow besides onion(s)?
Peas, tomatoes, herbs, corn, raspberry, grape, lettuce, peppers
Lots of stuff
The soil is good
And rain is no problem
I just plant and forget
My prize plant is an apple tree that I planted 3-4 years ago
Will post pic
When I get a chance

Mine are green onions; I used the stems and not the bulbs. The bulbs are too tiny to turn into onion rings.
