will be in the city of angels this weekend... i have never been to venice beach or santa monica... i also plan on doing the 626 night market... any other suggestions...?

I heard of a long beach. I'm not sure if that's the name of the place, too, if it's just because it covers a wilder area.

I'm serious.
;D @ Reporter about Long Beach
I haven't really had the chance to really spend time on the beaches during my trips there but Huntington beach is nice. Since you're doing the 626 night market in Arcadia, check out the mall. I really like that mall because it's nice and it has my favorite store Uniqlo! Go check out some men's clothes for yourself in that store. The quality is nice, soft, and conforms to your body nicely.
Try the infamous Uncle Tetsu cheesecake as it's also inside the mall.
the 626 night market is held nearby the parking lot of the Arcadia Mall.
Oh and you'll have a hell of time w/ the L.A traffic...
Yelp for your favorite restaurants but Asian restaurants are mostly in the city of Alhambra, Monterey Park and San Gabriel
not sure if they're still doing the viet Night Market but if so it would be at Asian Garden Mall in Westminister

I think rodondo beach which is near Huntington beach
Old stats but when I was younger, my dad would take me here to eat seafood on the rocks. You buy it n eat it on the jetty rocks or their provided tables.
Not sure if they are still in business. If they are, they are legend. Not cheap though. 3 crabs $50

The best to me are those not on the map. All the known ones are state beaches which cost a fee for parking unless you know where to park for free.
Between those beaches are hidden gems. You might have to park far n hike but worth it cuz you'll be by yourself with clean sands. Sex on the beach and no one cares.
Google map n research for public Access.

Laguna beach is always been my favorite, it always seems clean to me in my opinion

@ nkaujsee... indeed regarding 626... it seems very hipster-ish... with lots of fusion foods... i will give it a shot though... and regarding the night market in westminster... based on my youtube research... it does seem more authentic... i will try both places... i plan on being there for 3 nights... that's all i am doing... being a foodie...

of all the cali beaches, which is your favorite...?
Depends on my purpose/activity...For example, if I'm fishing, I like Baker beach:
