Yes I have but when I was living in Narleans and the drive was a road trip up north. It was during the 80s and new wave music was the thing and I have seen older young adults using this annual event to hook up with a gal from somewhere.
The older folks may use this event to see other friends and lost relatives in the states after fleeing as boat people. I remembered people are grouped by states and we would stand behind a play or banner that shows the state we are in.
That place is a monastery for young priest as well.
My uncle from MN still goes annually. Annual Summer time road trips with the family.
However , wirh that many people, we also hear about stories about the family that did not make it. Car accident.

First largest gathering is world youth day and with the pope.
It was he same blue print but with international Catholic members.
I also remembered walking through the vendors to eat pho. Plus going into that building to shower up. It is like a big camping trip where people would pitch a tent.
