i got back 1299.00 from federal but owed 489.00 to state... all-in-all, i consider it a close wash...

that sound about right
you should get closed, maybe even owe

trump tax cut don't really do much

I did federal yesterday. Couldn’t do state without my login info this morning.  They make you change it every year. If I can’t find my info then going to get an extension until October.

Got less this year because my daughter college tuition is covered 100% this year with scholarships. IRS made minor change to their 1098-T form. Last year was a good $2000-2500.

Hopefully next year we’ll get it since she’s studying abroad in Spain this coming year. We have fees to pay next month.

We usually pay so we paid again this year (married couple with 1 dependent)...
