i have two kids... one which she will start high school and another one who he will start middle school this fall... my (our) parental policy is that they could not have cell phones until middle school... prior to last night, the family plan which included three adults and a child was roughly 300 dollars per month for 4 cell phones... an apple, two galaxy s9+, and a broken galaxy s8+... of which there's still a balance of 200 dollars on the s8+ and 500 dollars each on the s9+... on verizon's unlimited everything plan... after last night, there is going to be an apple, two galaxy s9+, a broken galaxy s8+, and two new galaxy s10+ with a balance of 700 dollars each... because i/we am/are financing the phones free of financing charges along with the cost of our plan... i'm expecting our new monthly bill will be closer to 400 or 500 dollars per month... to me it is expensive but it isn't anything that i can't afford with my teacher's salary... i suppose i could cash out/pay off all the phones... and just pay for the plan but if there isn't any finance charges... why pay if off, right...? lol!
anyway, question is, do you think 500 dollars per month is expensive to you...?
-
that's a mile high expense...a curado with an ultra sensitive gloomis rod or a lexus car payment, to be exact,! i'd rather drive and have a flip phone!
your carrier is over charging and sticking you up the a$$!
tell them you're a teacher and don't make any money...see if they have discount! hA!

the s/o works for century link and gets 10 percent off... i really do like verizon... i've been with all the major providers and i like verizon the most... it works in places that i need... anyway, you're right... i thought about it and it is a car payment... let me see, i can cash out our phones @ 700+700+500+500+200=2600... that will significantly drop my monthly payment... lol!
-
I pay about $200 for both of our I-phones...and I can't wait for the darn contract to end so I can find another carrier to get a promo for the iPhoneX or whatever the newest and latest versions of IPhone is.
which provider are you with currently and do you have unlimited everything too...?
-
Yes. Mine is under $100.00.
-
yes, unlimited err-thang and i'm w/ stupid ATT! I had a package deal w/ my internet, phone, and tv...all totaling $280ish considering my wireless...my internet connections keeps lagging and my tv keeps freezing and stopping. I wouldn't recommend ATT Uverse.
lol... yeah, i've been with at&t and yeah, i don't recommend them either... lol!

most providers are good in metropolitan areas even metro pcs... it's when you're in the outskirts or in rural areas that there's a big difference between providers... even t-mobile is spotty where i need it...
-
Which is why I don’t have a cell phone. My $20 wireless home phone is good enough. I paid about $150 a month for 1 iphone, internet, $10 ipad device and $20 home wireless with ATT. I didn’t want to get a new iphone after I finished my payment. My daughter pay $50 for the cell phone since I gave it to her. She want to get a new iphone before she leave to study abroad in Spain this August for her 3rd year of college. I also will have to add the international plan serve.

Don't think a guy that lives in his "mommy's basement" and don't get out much will have the capacity to understand that not all things are created equal ;D:
Verizon Coverage Map: How it Compares
In the U.S., there are four dominant networks: Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T.
Of these, only one reigns supreme: Verizon. The nation's biggest cell phone carrier wields the most comprehensive network, covering more areas of the United States with its 4G network than any of its competitors. This great coverage extends to the few MVNOs that run on the Verizon network, like CREDO and Straight Talk. If getting good cell phone service in more places is important to you, going with Verizon, or a carrier that runs on the network, is a wise move indeed.

never said "wild" i said rural aka hick towns... i dunno, for instance i was out in nebraska in a dinky little town... my buddy with t-mobile had no service where as i had it with verizon...

i agree with that there quote... in major metropolitan cities... most if not all carriers work a like... it's when you move further away from urban cities that you start to notice the difference...

Crying that we are "ganging up" on you again but that's not the case and I've even posted a link to an article about it.
BUT not surprised because crying instead of taking the time to learn about common sense common knowledge facts is what you do best... ;D
-
Cricket sucks! my dad has it and his service is crappy! he can't get good cell service and his mobile internet connection isn't all that great.
ATT suck too but it's mostly my home service w/ issues. I have great cell service almost everywhere I go and the internet connection is pretty consistent.
Oh oh...he's already crying that we're "ganging up" on him...even though we're just pointing out common knowledge facts stuff... ;D

lol... because hmgrock bases reality on just his experiences alone... i suppose since he was here in denver with his cricket phone... i am a liar for not believing him...

It's pretty expensive for now, but once you paid off those phones, then you should be OK .... provided that those phones don't break by the time you finished paying them off.
I'm with Verizon, too and it's pricey ... but their network is so much better than most.
I have 6 phones with unlimited everything and I'm paying $300 for it.
That's a car payment right there ... but we can't live without our phones .. so, oh well!!!!

No need to "scroll" as you've already showed us your behaviors on many occasions... i.e., crying, "hippo crib", etc.

lol... because hmgrock bases reality on just his experiences alone...
That's how it is with the narrow minded ignorant type...they don't get out much so they think everything is same for others too.. due to their narrow mindedness ..;D

do people still use home phones...?
Lol! My husband does because he doesn’t need a cell phone. Beside he doesn’t go places, hang out, etc. He already hate when people have cell phone but never pick up calls.
-

The phone also plays a part. Even if two people are in the same area and both have the same provider but different phones, the results can be one person having a signal while the other one don't.

That’s a bit much.
