If you had grown up lonely, wouldn't you already know it? Do you actually need signs to tell you that?

My thought exactly reporter. And not many Asians will have this issue, we tend to have lots of siblings, friends, and relatives.

Yup.

But I think Chinese kids who were born in China in the 70s and 80s do have this problem. There's this one-child law that every family had to observe. So, lots of them grow up lonely.

One of my friends is from that period. A client of mine is also from that time frame. They say they don't have siblings to turn to and that they have felt loneliness to its core.

Not necessarily.

I grew up in a rather large family and still had constant bouts with loneliness. But that could well be unique to me as an individual. I am/was an extreme introvert and of course that didn't help matters at all in my case.

There are still times when I prefer to be by myself rather than among family and friends.

Some people are just overly talkative. However, if you are implying to depression. There's are a lot of that going around even with children as well. Some people have depression and don't even know what it is until they start explaining to the doctor of their symptoms. We lived in a world where it's hard to be accepted by people because of religion, age, race, or colors.

it's ridiculous you think that having a lot of siblings and such cancels out loneliness as if they're not mutually exclusive.

That response was base on Lexicon's list. Now, if you are talking about a mental state, that's different.
