Title: Is living with your parents, still being look down upon in the Hmong community
Post by: hmgROCK on September 23, 2019, 02:44:40 PM
I know the youngest son
Supposed to stay behind and look after the parents

Depends.

If you're asking, then maybe you need to examine the situation.

This isn't a cheap shot at you. I lived with my parents into my single 30s and can sympathize.

It's NOT ok if you just stay in "mommy's basement" and play COD all night and leech off them..

And no, this ain't the primitive days anymore so the "youngest son" don't have to stay with them...but more of a share responsibility among the siblings...

The ones staying behind is the one that can't make it in the world.

No, not if you are the one supporting your parents.

Parents getting old and sick
Can’t take care of themselves

Its either this or hospice
All my brothers and sisters already say no

Ask me and my wife
Who don’t have any kids yet
To move back in with them

I don’t think they have much time left
5 tops

I will be taking over the property and house
Once the both pass away

What makes you think that you'll inherit their property and house?

I had the same thought. Wasn't going to ask but since you already did...

Family dynamics are different for every family, but...my suggestion is to make sure that's adamantly clear right now. Nothing is sadder than when family fight over money and possessions. I'm not implying that will happen in your case, but I've seen it happen more often than I could care for.

Its great, you know

Plus us Hmong culture,
The kids take care of their elderly

This dude makes fun of people who still live with their parents
But he doesn’t know, admit to lose face
He is -$200,000+++ in the hole from his mortgage

A poor homeless person with zero debt, HAS MORE MONEY THAN HIM

You mean he is doing exactly what he is putting the other guy down on.

You are doing exactly what you claimed he is doing.

Good for you! Having your parents with you during this time would be a blessing for your soul. Enjoy while time still permits.

Just pointing the FRAUD for what he is...Purposely went "underground" to steal from the poor...as well as leech off his own "mommy" by staying in her "basement" all night playing COD ...zero contribution at all...

Then comes on PH to spread his lies just to get caught red handed by other PH members ...No wonder they called you "retarded"... YOU JUST CAN'T STOP REPEATING YOUR EPIC FAIL CYCLE ..;D ;D ;D

Only those whom think they are so better off can look down on others whom are still living with their parents. Price of living independently is just to damn high. If you can save $20-60k/yr living alone
and can bring home a different a guy/girl every night to your place then more power to you. I rather stayed in the basement saving what little money I can afford to stash away.
