Title: Looks like dog eat dog time..
Post by: YAX on October 22, 2019, 04:20:06 PM: Mitch McConnell is already turning against Trump. He's..

1. Denied that he talked to Trump about the call to the Ukraine president after Trump claimed McConnell said the call was the most innocent phone call he's read.

2. McConnell is introducing a resolution to oppose Trump's withdrawal from Syria.

Even House Republican leader, Kevin McCarthy is saying he doesn't agree with Trump's comparison of his impeachment to a Lynching.

Looks like Trump is losing his Fair Weather friends rather quickly.

The Republicans know the Pres. has said/done some not so good stuff but will choose to keep their mouth shut in order to hold on to their power base. It's all about maintaining their power. United they stand, divided they fall - and so no matter what....they condone the pres because they don't want to fall. They don't care about justice...mora l, the little people, keeping their promises to their allies, keeping the country safe, etc.. ONLY the brave republicans w/ a conscience will speak up and there's a few of those...

Trump is going to turn this impeachment thing into a joke and the republicans will follow him along w/ his base. He has a strong base because he represents the majority views of this country. His policies are exactly what the majority, white people, wants. Plain and simple.
