Aside from the hoisin and sriracha sauce, the jalapeño, basil, beans sprouts, and lime...
what else do you add to your pho?
Chili oil, fried garlic, fried onions, and crushed peanuts for me. Sometimes, fish sauce.

cow stomach
you know, the honeycone, tripe, etc...
those are some good stuff for pho
but a batch to clean and prep

I don’t eat pho, but if I did.....I definitely need hot peppers. ;D

We Hmong have a saying "Ban Nok, Ban Na, eating pho without nam pa."
That is to point to those who aren't used to city life where pho is served. They just eat pho as it is served without adding anything else on the table.
I usually taste my pho first with the original broth. If it needs more, I'll add whatever else I need. If not, I just eat it without adding anything.

I know that term very well. In ban nok, we use what we have and that’s good enough.
I have extra nam pa, want some? Lol

On top of your list, I also put soy sauce, and a little bit of sugar and black pepper..

Interning, soy sauce, isn’t that too sweet, especially when you’re adding sugar too?
I only use soy sauce for kao soy, have you had that?
-
I like everything in mine: hoisin, sriracha, fish sauce, soy sauce, sugar, black pepper, hot pepper, jalapeño, chili oil, basil, culantro, cilantro, green onions, red onions, beans sprouts, lime, fried garlic, fried onions, crushed peanuts. ;D ;D ;D

A touch of soy sauce and sugar works for me..Forgot one more, I like to add pickled peppers too:

I've had kao soy before and don't usually add anything to coconut curry type of soup...maybe a touch of salt but that would be it...same goes for kao poon.
