Shaw had been wrestling on a bed with his son, Tripp, while he had a handgun concealed in the small of his back, Fox 59 reported. The gun then fell and fired one shot, striking both Shaw and his son in the head.

one would have to question if the gun was modified. OEM guns are fairly safe due to the strict guidelines...h owever, when one starts to modified, putting in a 3lb or lighter trigger pull can cause the gun to 'accidentally discharge". those with inexperience should also carry without being chambered.

too many moving parts, spring, safety mech, metal, etc...

That's why, you don't cock a round into the chamber, until you need to use it. Smh... when you have a round in the chamber, the lock pin can fail and create a discharge. A round can prolong coil in the spring can get weak over time.

Have not seen anyone dumb enough to say a "guns kill, not people" or "a gun can fire by itself (LOAD IT'S OWN CHAMBER, AIM AND FIRE WITHOUT ANY HUMAN INTERACTION) ...except that one idiot that said it a few years ago and he even posted some EPIC FAIL videos from YouTube to prove his point but as it turned out, those weapons had human aka "people" interaction so it just made him look very bad...

Not to mention, the dad and son playing on the bed. The dad knowingly there was a loaded gun close by. Smh.. guns don't kill. But when you play around or near one. Of course shyts gonna happen. Sorry for the kid. But the dad needs to be fine for not being a responsible gun owner.
Rule number one. Never play around or near guns...Guns don't kill, but when you add dumb ppl in the mix. We all know what will happen.
