We were there during the Fall and it was still over 100 degree :o:

Some unlucky visitors at Death Valley National Park ran into car trouble Sunday when the extreme heat caused their engines to give out, the park said Monday. ... Near record heat!"

One of the fastest driving I’ve done on regular road was in Death Valley. There are a few roads so straight for so many miles, temptation won.
