my first class is GYM at 8AM CT (i know sucky in the morning)
we were running in the track so you gotta leave at 7:50
because the teacher is taking attendance at the track field at 8AM

all of us out there on the track field that day didn't know
not even the teacher

it wasn't until 2nd class science
my teacher was crying and could barely keep herself together
"strange, why is she crying"... i remember asking myself
(remember, i don't know...alot of us student don't know either)

by 3rd class... words has gotten out to the school
every teacher and student was talking about it
we have the TV on and watch it as the tower fall

i was a PTSD event for alot of us
full grown ass teacher breaking down and crying

I was already in college.  Yes, I'm your elders.   :2funny:

Woke up around 8am ish to look at the tv and saw some late breaking news.  Found out classes were also cancelled cuz they thought that the school could be at threat since the san jose airport has airplanes flying over us on the daily.  We got big buildings that could be the next big target.

A few weeks later, saw a scam artist trying to sell these red white and blue mini pens for donations.  Saw a bunch of people donating but I already knew he was a scam artist kid.  Saw him at my other off campus class at the community college too.  I think I heard his sales pitch was.  "help support"???

It was during a time when we all wanted to help support so we were all vulnerable to charity organization and scam artist.  I got to say at least 10g to buy him a new car was how much he banked.  He walked around with a backpack so he stayed under the radar like he's just another college student.

It was during a time when muslim, sheik and curry looking people were targeted for hate crimes.  Poor them.

I kept wishing Superman was real so that he could have averted at least one of the planes or even both, since they didn't both fly at the buildings at the same time.

The shock was so disturbing that I felt like I needed shock treatments for years...even now.

Oh wow, you were just a baby!

I was already a freshman in college when it happened. I didn't live in the dorms so I was at school pretty early and just hanging out in the commuter lounge waiting for my class to start when this came on the news. I remember feeling surreal. I had gone to NYC just a year prior and stood on the observation deck of the Twin Towers.

So, this tragedy didn't affect single people, huh? I wonder why I've been affected by it.
