I live out west and winters are very mild here, it has never snowed and we're lucky to see temperatures fall below freezing. This is the only life I have ever known, so for my brothers and sisters who lives in colder states... What is it that you must do or normally do to prepare for winter? And please don't leave out details.

My wife is born and raise in New York City and she said sometimes some folks need this to help their cars in the cold freezing morning:

Each household buys a shovel.

The only thing you need to do is
Shovel your sidewalk when it snows
That’s pretty much it

Several years ago I dated a girl from Minn, she said she had to keep an electric blanket on her engine. I thought she was lying this whole time.
-
You're gonna need this too: (https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/shopping?q=tbn:ANd9GcTZPe9JsZpLMouL-q-LJlSRicbTEWo9W51KvYAoPpWodXw1SXU0NrF4BDBpPJ6efqcj87GVMOx62A&usqp=CAc) so people don't slip outside your doorsteps.
Oh yes, if your window ventilations are poor, not so good, going to need to do this too:

Yes to melt the ice otherwise your walkways will be like frozen water, slippery like walking on ice sheet...well, technically it is an ice sheet ;D ;D ;D

Sounds complicated living in them snowy weather condition places...
Not only you have to babysit your car, you gotta babysit your housing and piping from bursting too.
Not to mention to buy them snow plowing machine to get out of your driveway.
I got family in wis and mn so yeah, I heard all them complaints. I was a baby when we had our snow in atlanta so yeah, I lived through it already.

Good stuff, thanks for sharing. Now I see why all your cars have rust on them.
How much does a bucket of that size cost?

It’s a snowblower and it’s always nice to have if there are >2 inches accumulation of snow, especially if it’s heavy snow. It saves time and it’s easier on the back/arms from shoveling. ;D

Ahhh, as beautiful as you are, I am surprised the boys near you don’t come knocking down your door, asking to clear your driveway!
Seriously, good stuff, thanks for educating this warm weather man.
