Let's say many years later you have the opportunity to reconnect, have a second chance, with an ex (ex-gf, ex-bf, ex-wife, ex-husband), and the person is no longer the same, has turned a new leaf. Would you give that person a second chance or once is enough to last a lifetime?

Depends on the situation but most likely NO...
I mean I still stay in touch with some of my EX's to a small degree but going back to where things were, NO..

I remembered going to common friend's wedding and one of my EX's was there and we still greeted each other cordially. My wife and I walked over to her and I gave her hug, introduce my wife to her and vice-versa, wish her well and that was that..Then I told my wife our back story and that was that..Once the wedding was done, we go on our own ways.. All good. O0

good good and things like that exist when there's mutual trust between couples.
Let's say you're single, available, would you give a second chance to an ex (ex-wife, ex-gf), a real second chance to make things right or attempt to make things right.

Ex-wife = nope. remarry means adultery
Ex-girlfriend = maybe unless she interest in multiple night stands.
