Yes and the security guards did nothing to help, just close the door.  I'm guessing the rise in Asian Anti-hate may come from the rhetoric of the last 4 years, COVID-19 from China, and the George Floyd death, one of the defendant is Asian.  Right now the trial is on-going and depending on the verdict, never know. 

For the first time in my life, I pay more attention to my surroundings now.

It's very unfortunate that we Asians still have to deal with the hate in America that began in the 1800s and will continue to in unforeseen future...

I don't think it'll ever go away but if oppressed people come together, we can all force change to bring equity to all, black, brown, yellow, etc.. But from what i'm seeing, we're still divided, attacking one another and bringing more divisions with these attacks.

I wish others in society or even the whole world can just be like my wife and I as we're not racist, sexist, ageist, classist, religious intolerance, etc., but that's just not the case unfortunately. .

It's all about treating each others with respect and dignity ...
