Title: We might have to start shaking women's hands, too.
Post by: Reporter on August 03, 2021, 12:48:19 PM
I met a Hmong couple yesterday. I shook hand with the man and not with the woman.

Later on in our meeting, I learned that they were indeed married but were both women. You know, lesbiens.

I felt a bit uncomfortable that I didn't shake hands with both of them and blushed a bit.

Been shaking hands with both, some highly respected people are women. As of now, I just nod at people since pandemic.

Hmong culture is gender biased but we are adapting and slowly but changes will come. I do skip shaking hands with certain individuals especially those swept under the rug perpetrators who has committed violent acts. They have no sympathy from me.
