growing up with my immigrant old folks
there were times, where we didn't have enough food to eat
THANK GOD for foodstamp...
cuz i would be a skeleton
even with foodstamp... there were times
where the fridge would be empty of food

now we living good...
food is no longer a issue

Growing up poor myself, thinking back, I never ask my folks for any money. The only thing I did asked for is the original Nintendo console cuz every kid on the block has one and it was the new chit at the time.
even then, I didn't even push it. I know the value of putting someone in a burden over my expenses. Good ol mom, had to cracked crabs for a living just to save up to surprise my azz. She took me on the city bus to downtown walgreen where there was the only store in town that has a few left.
When I was 18, I payed it forward by saving up and also took my student grants and payed for her brand new car.
I never asked for any money, not even $5 to buy lunch or candy. Nowadays, Ive seen little brats at walmart be taking stuff from the shelves that is out of the family's budget and throwing it into the cart. Blessed be the mom that has to suck it up cuz they loved their children enough not to say no. Then I saw a ghetto kaydoo family so of course, she biatched the chit out of hte poor kid to put it back.
Growing up poor builds characters. If your kids are entitled, I hope yall teaches them good values in life, one that they recognized what or how their own parents had to struggle while growing up. O0

Well growing up poor and growing up as a young criminal minded are 2 different things.
Old as hell and beyond help is how you can describe dude.

i grew up in a typical Hmong family in the 80-90s. big family, and anything like potato chips, ice cream, and sodas was rare...so when the og's did buy some, it was all gone in an hour..lmao..we ll, not so much my sisters, but me and the bro's, we literally race each other to the car as soon as we knew the og's came back from grocery shopping..now, me and my siblings argue and point fingers at who keeps buying groceries for the parents knowing they won't ever probably use it and it ends up perishing or molding..but okay yeah, i admit I'm the one who keeps buying the Old man energy drinks..I since stopped, but he's got several stacks of Asian redbulls in his closet.that's not me..he drinks one once a every few days only..sometime s just a few sips throughout the day..so im not too worry...lols

Also explained how hardwired you are. Humble people, even when they’re the best, will say they aren’t. Didn’t learned none of the good old Hmong values even though you grew up poor. Poor mindsets equate to poor outcomes.

I get carry away
And i ended up with buckets full
I’m trying to practice substantial fishing

Shiners can be netted right on the edges of rivers where white bass bite most.

i see guys who buy live minnow and shiner
and dumping them on the grass 1-2 hours later
these curly tails can be use later on another day

This is my first time using this stuff
Like i say earlier this spring
I bought them cuz it was cheap
The fish was on fire
Everyone was catching them
I saw minnows people doing fine
Flies puller doing great
I guess they don’t care when its ON

I would eat that and suck on the brain
