Some don't feel like they should tip at cheap Chinese buffet restaurants or buffet in general because they get their own food but we still do as long as the service is good:

I remembered back in the mid 80s when we were flying and this kaydoo guy in his 50s were taking our bags from our car and tossing it onto a conveyor belt for departure flights.  Uncle gave him $2 and the guy cringed and crying and said "come on bra"   I was shocked as the guy was literally crying that we tipped him so low.  Mind you, the $2 tipping style is an asian thing.   :2funny:

uncle gave him 3 more to kept him quiet.  Had it was today and I was older, you betcha I would make it known that his boss would know about it and whoever in charge of his operation would know about it and ratings and review sites, I would do that too.  I'm not trying to get the dude fired or anything but that's just not right.  I hate entitled people.

Came to MN a few years ago and my cuz took me to a Chinese restaurant.  Bruh, the servers asked us to leave a tip.  I don't remember the name of the restaurant but it's well known.  To top it off, a server spilled a freaking tray of drinks on me and didn't even apologize.  I was sooooooo traumatized that I left $20 as tip.  You asked why, it was to balance my evil deed of the day  :2funny:

That happened to me before and I just rescinded the tip because it's rude to act like that instead of being grateful. I did that mainly because I've also worked in the tip industry before so I know tips are not a requirement unless it's stated clearly before hand.

When I worked in the food industry, I hear co-workers complained about customers not tipping or not tipping them enough and I just shake my head at their entitled attitude because the customers don't have to tip at all...

Some are also on their high horse when it comes to change tips and refuse to accept it. Me on the other hand, was grateful for any tip big or small..coins or bills..

My friends and I always leave a tip even if the service was bad.  All we ask is that our drinks don't go unnoticed.  I know some restaurants add tips as part of the bill which I don't agree.

I'm OK with it as long as the restaurant let the customers know before hand and/or display it like so:
