Been to both places and for the most part, the statement below by CK is accurate  ;D:

Kaepernick says at the start of the series: “I was born up in Wisconsin, a place known for dairy farming and a scarcity of Black people. But I grew up in Turlock, California, a place also known for dairy farming and, you guessed it, a scarcity of Black people.”
