Notice that slut strands of hair just means the two hair strands that women skiers and snowboarders have to show feminity; that doesn’t mean the ladies are sluts. Such hair strands make no reference to someone being a slut. —Google

But when they are in the locker room and they be acting like sluts just before gearing up. :-*

Here is the birth of the Slut Strand Society from the mouth of the founder :D :D

Basically has something to do w/ what her dad said:
"My dad, being a dad, looked at me and said “Sick Slut Strands, girl.” (He’s hip) I shot back with a “Le Duh, I am the captain of the Slut Strand Society.” Boom. I knew what was going on that stack of beanies. The next day I popped em on the gram, sold them out and minutes, and the Society was born."
Yes Slut is a strong word even if coming from a dad. I wouldn't embrace it, that's me.

Olympic Gold Medal Snowboarder Chloe Kim wants a new name for 'slut strands': 'I hate the term'
The two-time gold medalist, 21, spoke to InStyle this week about the hairstyle worn by women snowboarders, which features two pieces of hair sticking out from underneath their helmet. The goal is to show that it is a woman hitting the slopes under all that gear. While “slut strands” have been celebrated all over social media as women snowboarders dominated the Olympics this year, Kim wishes that there was a different moniker for the hairdo.
