A long time ago I had a dream about an old flame. It happened out of the blue.
I dreamt that I was standing inside a house. Everything felt familiar although it did not look familiar to me. There was a very warm light coming in through the windows that filled the entire one-room house. I never saw his face but I felt his presence behind me. He said that he had been waiting there and he was so happy that I came home. The feelings were so real even though it was just a dream.
Years after the dream, the old flame called me. We met up and he was more handsome than even I remembered. Mind you, I was only 15 or 16 when we first met and began a courtship. This time I was in my early 20s and so much had already happened. All the feelings were there, maybe even more. However, we couldn't be together which I won't share here.
He came to get closure while I got affirmation.
I think he wanted to know why I left while I wanted to know if he really loved me all those years.
