Made the switch a long time ago
Pretty easy to clean up
No smell from the gas
Once you turn it off
It will continue to cook
Gotta move it over

Electric stove is ineffecient... it takes 3 times as much energy to heat, it takes long to cool down and don't heat up the pan evenly. The bigger issue is the cost to run it - gas stoves are 10-30 percent cheaper to run than electric. Hence, professional chefs uses gas stove instead of electric. I used to have a gas stove and loved it... now, my new house have electric stove, already replaced the heating elements twice.
Do not let any food or spill get on the heating area - once it's charred and caked on, it's a pain in the butt to clean.
all in all... buy what you like. I would switch to gas if I could but I don't have a gas line to the kitchen. So, I'll stick with electric if the current one breaks.

Yalls need to switch over to the nuclear stoves. They’re called microwaves and cooks way faster and flame free. ;D

Toss a paper towel soaked with water.
Otherwise I never use the microwave to cook or reheat.
