nice. The double hook set up is so dang dangerous :D
There's a reason why I have that long 9' rod though. I thought about getting a 12' rod but I really don't do that much kind of pole dip fishing anymore.

The fishes bite right in front of the canoes. A long pole might not
change the game much.
But those guys don't know how to exhaust
the fishes out before reeling them to the canoes.

Wait till these guys learn how to fish with a drink can with line around it, then just thread through a few metal eyes on a stick. When you learn to wrap line around the drink/soup can with a stick, it seems so caveman genius. :D

Back in Laos, we had these plants that had a foam
inside them. If you take the foam and puts it in water,
it floats. Some of us have used that as bobbers. I have also
used just short dry sticks as bobbers.
Well, I grew up in a caveman lifestyle though. We used bamboo
torches to see at night and didn't have flashlights up on the
hills I grew up in. We certainly didn't have cans...lol
