..part is the Ford Courier was also made by the Japanese ;D:
First generation (1972–1976)
The Courier was manufactured by Toyo Kogyo (Mazda) and imported to North America and sold by Ford Motor Company as a response to the unforeseen popularity of the small Toyota and Nissan/Datsun Pickups.
I took these photos the other day and just thought it was funny when Ford pulled the "can't beat them, join them" move..

I asked a White guy I used to work with about his Ford Ranger. I asked him, "how do you like your Japanese made Ford truck?"
He would chuckle and said, it's better than this American made Ford truck... ;D
