...GOD FORBID THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO WORK AT THE SHIPPING PORTS (OWNED BY FOREIGN COMPANIES) WANT TO SECURE A CONTRACT.
Every 6 years they get a new contract. This was coming up but apparently, the foreign-owned corporations want to bring in more automation. This means people will lose their jobs. Many workers want the wage increase and no automation, because who knows what will happen when the 6 year contract ends. It could all be full blown automation.
I'd say our shipping ports are more important than minimum wage increase for McDonald and Walmart employees. No shipping ports, no McD and Walmart anyways. And I actually don't care about Hollywood, so there is that.
