Squatter laws in California allow potential tenancy rights after 30 days in a property

Several California-based law firms note on their websites that after 30 days, ownership can not be granted to a squatter, but tenancy rights can be. Once a landlord provides a squatter with a written notice to vacate the property and they don't leave, an unlawful detainer lawsuit has to be filed with the court.

Yes... these laws should be removed. Unless the property is abandon and can be proven by the city, state an anyone on connection with the property... no one should be allow to take over it. What if people were on month long vacation or in hospice care at a health clinic, etc etc?
