Quote

Pope Francis, born Jorge Mario Bergoglio, worked as a nightclub bouncer in Buenos Aires before entering the priesthood. This experience in a working-class environment helped shape his views on society and its people. His past as a bouncer is often highlighted as part of his unique journey to becoming the first pope from South America. This background contributed to his pastoral approach and understanding of diverse communities.
