Title: People who had a good parent-child relationship
Post by: Believe_N_Me on May 20, 2025, 09:16:28 AM
People who had a good parent-child relationship or view their parents in a positive light are more secure, have less childhood trauma, and are more likely to know how to engage in healthy ways that create a healthy relationship. They're least likely to be avoidant and bow out when things get hard. They view obstacles and struggles as opportunities to grow together. They feel optimistic about relationships, are emotionally available, and show more consideration for their partner. They have higher self-worth, strong boundaries, and overall have better relationships. They get into a relationship with intentions of loving and supporting their partner, rather than expecting to see what they can get from their partner.

The most troubled kids are the idiots that were given "the world" by their mom but when it's their mom's turn to receive their support due to age and health, they just kicked her out to the curb like yesterday's garbage. :idiot2:

There's no reason nor excuse for those children to behave this way towards parents that are loving and have sacrificed so much to give them "the world" but they are idiots for a reason.

People who had a negative parent-child relationship or hold a negative view of their parent(s) seek relationships that are one-sided and codependent. Depending on their temperament, they either want to be in control or be controlled. They're more pessimistic about relationships, and make strategic decisions that yield a favorable outcome for them. They view their partner's expectations as demands and pressure. They're also less committal, even when they're in a marriage. There is always an exit plan just in case. They're more private, and overly concerned with maintaining autonomy from their partner.

It's pretty sad especially for the elderly mom. I mean she gave it all to raise and give her children "the world" but at the end, she just get kicked out to the curb by her ungrateful idiotic children.

NEWS FLASH: Your mom already did her part by raising you, don't force her to do your job for you by raising your offsprings too..because your offsprings is YOUR responsibility!!! :idiot2: :idiot2: :idiot2:

A relationship with someone who comes from a fairly happy and healthy home will be more peaceful. There is nothing more stressful than marrying into a dysfunctional family, especially if one of the grandparents is very abusive.

There is a Hmong saying, "noj nceb yuav tsum taug cav."

Choose a tree that bears good fruit or else risk having those bad traits show up in your children.
