CEL came on so had to plug it to my OBD2. Turns out to be bad gas cap. I get it though as my Taco is approaching 250k miles now..

The OEM Toyota fuel caps are surprisingly pricey. I considered buying a cheaper alternative from Amazon, but ended up going with OEM. After spending about $500 on various parts, I finally found the fix. The lesson, never fill the tank past the automatic click, as overfilling can cause fuel to overflow and damage other components as in my case.

Glad you finally fixed it... O0
