Watch: Terrifying Video Captures Fisherwoman Swept Away in Pacifica
A frightening new video out of Pacifica, California, captures the exact moment a casual fishing session turned into a life-or-death struggle. Bae Cadotte, a longtime local angler, was violently swept out to sea at Sharp Park Beach by a massive sneaker wave.
The close call went down just days after the sudden closure of the Pacifica Municipal Pier due to structural damage. The closure has forced lines of local fishermen off the deck and onto the shifting, unpredictable sands.
"I knew at that moment it was going to take me," Cadotte told loal news after the ordeal. "It took me and swallowed me up very easily. It felt like I was tumbling in a washing machine. It just swallowed me. No way I'm getting out of this." See the footage below.
