Now, I wonder if there's one that has condoms and stuff.

Baltimore choke or was Tennessee that good?

Titans did what they needed to do. They beat the ravens.

Ravens choked.  They underestimated them.

Let me start you off cause someone is bound to ask.
NO, you do not need to see the previous American or Japanese film.  The intro scene is the only thing that connects it to that universe, otherwise it is a whole different movie on it's own. Hell you can slap any title onto it and it'll be different.

Now that that's out of the way.

How was it?
It was not great, it was not terrible.  If I had to give it a score, it's maybe a 6 or 6.5.  Not worth going to theaters, but it's decent enough that you won't waste your time playing it on netflix, redbox, whatever.

Storywise - it tried, but ultimately failed due to it having 3 perspectives mashed into one movie and not enough time to fully develop them.  The movie tries to do a bit too much, it tries to be a typical japanese horror film.  It also tries to be this heartfelt mental health like film. Several elements seen in the film are direct copies from haunting of hill house like; the house being a gate between dimensions and the wanting to burn the house down after experiencing stress.

The good -
It has some interesting elements and some realistic themes. It's not just a bunch of faceless people.  There's 3 perspectives you see in the film.
1. a couple who are soon giving birth to a child with ALD (degenerative disease).  The stress and heartbreak they experience and the attachment they go through.
2. a married couple of 50 years. the wife's mental state is deteriorating and the husband has to learn to cope with it.  Sad.  This is where the gate between dimensions plays in.  He recognizes it and actually says that he would have her die in the house if it meant he got to still be with her after death.
3. Cops who become too attached to their current case and end up taking work home with them.

The bad -
It wasn't scary in the slightest.  It has some plotholes that are loosely explained in the other films (possession, why spirits stay there, etc.). The make up and special effects are nothing like the grudge and it does not resemble it outside of the first scene.

The meh -
It doesn't rely on stupid jumpscares thankfully. So that is enjoyable.

Watch it on redbox or netflix, whatever.  It's not terrible, but not great. it's watchable.  I'd watch it again, maybe even a third time.  I didn't hate it.  and there's probably things I missed.

It is WAYYYYYYYYYYYY YYY better than Annabelle, Annabelle comes home, curse of la llorona, and some other crap horrors i saw.

I missed it. was out on a date.

BUT WOW.. Raven's choked.  Kinda like Mahomes did last year.  History repeating itself again.

I saw the niners game though.  MN got dominated.

Kind of figured my 9ers would improve from last season and possibly make the playoff but I didn't think they would be "#1" at the end of the regular season... O0 O0 O0

I was saying 8-10 wins. just a winning season with possibility of wildcard.  But damn. 1

my sisters and I took my baby niece to watch it this past weekend, and I was really excited like her about it only to end up ZZZZZZZZZZZzzz zzzzzz...serio usly...I really slept halfway through the's either totally boring or from the shots I had previously from my brother's bd the night before  :P

would I pay to watch it again? NO.

The soundtrack was soothing though, that's probably why it put me to sleep. lol!

It has a different feel to it compared to the first. More musical tone but at times it does feel like not much is happening. There really isnt a villain this time around. It's more about the adventure of finding ones self and adapting to change.

You talk about your friends. Your family.

Is there anyone you consider close to you that you dont talk shit about?

I initially thought it was a lame cash grab so I didn't intend on watching it.  But when I heard that there was a song about grief, I wanted to see it and I'm glad I did.

I love this film. The many messages about growing up, things aren't constant, and learning to cope with change. It doesn't quite have the mystique as the first part, but the story, the musical score and everything really makes it enjoyable.

The music itself is also amazing. Almost like a musical.

Some of my favorites.

The intro song. very soothing and relaxing.
Evan Rachel Woods - All is Found

LOVEEE this song. it's perfect for a broadway musical.
The main cast - Some Things Never Change

The song about grief and depression.

Kristen Bell - The Next Right Thing

Few other good ones with empowerment themes.
Idina Menzel - Show Yourself

Idina Menzel - Into the Unknown

The end credit version  - damn he can hit the high notes.
Panic at the disco - Into the Unknown

This wasn't in the film, part of the outtakes, but i like this song too.

Kristen Bell - Home

I didn't think that was a TD either.

They want a clash between Seattle and 49ers to decide who goes.  That's what it looks like.  Assuming both win their next game, it'll be winner take all in seattle.

You wont put your money where your mouth is.

So just hush or I'll do it for you
