S.F. entrepreneur finally gets his meal with Warren Buffett



Justin Sun, founder and of CEO of San Francisco-based cryptocurrency platform Tron, said Thursday that he finally enjoyed a meal with Warren Buffett on Jan. 23. “It was really an honor and I'm grateful for Mr. Buffett's dinner, wisdom and vision,” Sun said in a statement. “I'll always remember his kindness and support, and will take Mr. Buffett's advice and guidance to make Tron a better ecosystem, business with all the partners in the blockchain space and beyond.” Sun captured global headlines last summer as his winning bid for the annual Buffett charity lunch turned into international dinner theater after he took the unusual step of calling a press conference in San Francisco that was to feature himself, Buffett and the president of the Glide Foundation, the San Francisco nonprofit that benefits from the lunch.
