The real reason Trump wants Greenland:

He says it is a strategic move for the US.  So what’s the strategy? Simple.  Once we put military bases in Greenland, we will have Canada surrounded and can invade from all three fronts: Alaska, Greenland and the lower 48 states. Canada will be ours for exploiting. Trump will be a war hero and lots of young people who didn’t bother to vote will lose their lives in the war for Trump. Also, controlling the Panama Canal will allow us to move ships from one coast to the other coast easier. Plus once we’re done with Canada, we can pretty much take over Mexico and all the Central American countries. North America will finally become synonymous with the USA.

I know MAGA didn’t really want this but  they’re committed since they voted for Trump and are too embarrassed to stand against him now.  They’ll pretend they wanted this all along too. Just like how they pulled mental gymnastics to claim Elon didn’t just do a Sieg Heil on them.
