Tinder is testing a new ‘height preference’ filter, so it’s ‘over for short kings’


Tinder is currently testing a new height filter that lets you choose how tall you want your matches to be. Yes, really!

The new feature uses a sliding bar to select how tall your ideal partner is, and the dating app will show you matches that fit this “preference”. However, it’s only for people who pay for Tinder’s Platinum subscription right now.

A spokesperson for Tinder told The Tab: “We’re always listening to what matters most to our Tinder users – and testing the paid height preference is a great example of how we’re building with urgency, clarity, and focus.”

“This is part of a broader effort to help people connect more intentionally on Tinder. Our new product principles guide every decision, and this one speaks directly to a few: prioritizing user outcomes, moving fast, and learning quickly.”
