started from the bottom, now we're here .........grew up poor

Normal is if you grew up poor and you are still poor right now.  To you, it is normal and good chances that no one teaches you on how to up yourself. 

To some, I didn't choose the life, the life chose me.  I don't want to be poor but when all of my neighbors are just as poor, we are normal and we are doing fine.  Everyone still gets Xmas presents I bought at the 99 cents store.
