I rather live in my ordinary home then a mansion in the Midwest; I rather stay in the bay than the Central Valley. Even if the government was to pay me 1 million to move to the Midwest for X amount of years, I would turn it down without a hesitation.

Add 100K to put up security fencing and motion detector camera and guns, lots of guns and signs that says private property, trespasser will be shot on sight.
