That sounds right. Humor isn't unique to the human race, you know.

The hyena got pranked by cheetah and gazelle.

That sounds right. If the hyena ever caught that gazelle, its life will be on the line. No joke about it.

Pranks are for dumbass unless they want to get killed.

Pack of Hyena are known for scavengers to wait for other predators like cheetah and lion make the hunts first then they steal the meal afterward.
Such sneaky bastards.

However, solo leopard is more clever than the three. The leopard carry its vulnerable prey up the highest tree to keep other predators from stealing its meal.

That is true. That's why Scar in "The Lion King" was able to pack thousands of hyenas into killing his brother with just this promise:"You'll never go hungry again!"

The African continent has several big-game predators that I think are ranked as follows:

No. 1: Cheetah and Leopard--incredible speed with a killing mouth and front paws; they often go at preys alone
No. 2: Jaguar--incredible strength preys in or out of water, often solo, too.
No. 3: Wild dogs--never alone in any killing ceremony; even powerfully large preys get bitten and eaten alive piece-by-piece as the preys are still running but eventually dying due to its body parts being slowly torn down and eaten up
No. 4: Lions--powerful but slow; they can't chase down a running prey and must stalk the prey in low positions; they hardly go at a prey alone
No. 5: Giant crocs--large with mouths that can swallow a gazelle hole or even wrestling down a zebra, but dependent on the preys crossing a river in order for them to be able to catch up to a prey and subdue it; once a prey is caught though, it's drowned and torn apart with the crocs' favorite twisting or spinning moves
No. 6: Hyenas--indeed, they are more of scavengers than killers due to their slower speed and lack of patience to hang onto a prey's neck and hang onto it until it dies; they prey to eat anything immediately but just can't run fast enough like the wild dogs to bite a hopping animal

This hyena somehow is quite smart against the stupid wildebeest who doesn't just outrun the hyena in an escape but who still tries to run itself down by trying to gore the evading hyena.
