Man accused of using COVID-19 relief loans to buy a Lamborghini pleads guilty

A South Florida businessman pleaded guilty Wednesday to a federal wire fraud charge after investigators say he used COVID-19 relief loans to buy luxury items including a $318,000 Lamborghini Huracán Evo.

David T. Hines, 29, is scheduled to be sentenced April 14. He was released on a $100,000 bond after his July arrest. His Lamborghini as well as $3.4 million from bank accounts have been seized by federal authorities.
