..couple from a couple of young Black folks.

Anyways, the old Chinese couple were looking at a menu at a restaurant and speaking Mandarin. Next to them was a young Black man and woman. As the Mandarin conversation goes, the Chinese couple were using the filler word, "nči ge" (similar to the English filler word, "ummm").

To the untrained ears, it could be mistaken for the N-word so the Black folks confronted the old Chinese couple but their English wasn't that good. My wife saw what's going on so she stepped in and explained to the Black folks that it's not what they think it is. Once the misunderstandi ng was cleared, everyone was all good. O0

I think people just have to understand that America is very diverse so some of the non-English words they hear may sound like something they think but it may not have the same meaning and/or context. So stay cool and ask for clarification first instead of jumping to invalid conclusion.  8)

Not the majority of black folks get triggered by unfamiliar foreign words from Asians. Only small fraction of dumb black community think that Asian and Mexican language should be changed.  :2funny:

Even other black peeps (smart ones) understand the content of the word negro in Spanish means "black" and nei ge in Mandarin/Korean means "black" as well.
