Truth about Democrat from a Democrat...
« on: July 13, 2023, 08:16:18 AM »
“Democrat lawmakers (not constituents) will cry about abortion rights, wail for transgender rights, demand AAPI protections, and create legislation for antisemitism. Yet, if a Black independent female Democrat legislator who grew up in poverty wants to give the bottom 25% of children attending failing schools a second chance at education infuriates some of my fellow Democrats to the point they are soliciting my opposition — that's exactly the problem." - Georgia Rep. Mesha Mainor, D-Atlanta. Democrats motto - Stand rank-and-file or get removed, you have not differing opinions or views from the Collective.

You know why she said that - She was threaten with primary challenges from her own party... and it all stems from her stance on school voucher. She's the only Democrat that voted for school voucher (sending your child to any district that can serve him/her better and not being tied down to the district where you live).Mainor pointed to schools in her district where there is a 3 percent reading proficiency rate and students are unable to do simple math.

This pisses off her fellow Demmies (Dems don't believe in school choice)... they want to keep students in their own district, not allowing them to go elsewhere for opportunity or get educated. (I bet these white Dems don't want black kids in their school). One Dem rep goes as fall as writing a check for $1000.00 to whoever want to challenge her in the next election - claiming she's defunding public school fund.

Told by the late Georgia House Speaker David Ralston (a GOP): “Be you, be authentic and represent the people in your district, and you will be fine.” This gave her the courage to stand against her party on issue that matters to her constituents.

She had announced that she's switching to the GOP... this is not a rarity since 4 other Dem State Reps had switch party just this year alone.
