The Liberal Patroit did a survey and it revealed some startling truth:

First item: Immigration; 3 choices

1 - People around the world have a right to claim asylum and America should welcome more immigrants into the country. (closely associated with the Dem Party)
2 - America needs to secured its borders and create more legal and managed immigration paths to bring skilled professionals and workers to help our economy grow
3 - America needs to closed its borders to outsiders and reduced all level of immigration

less than a quarter (24%) picked number 1, while 59% picked number 2 and 17% went with number 3
Among moderate - the vote is 66% for number 2 and just 18% for number 1.

Second item: Climate and Energy; 3 choices

1 - We need a rapid green transition to end the use of fossil fuels and replaced them with fully renewable energy sources. (Push by Democrat Party)
2 - We need an "All of the Above" strategy that provides abundant and cheap energy from multiple sources including oil and gas to renewable to advance nuclear power.
3 - We need to stop the push to replace domestic oil and gas production with unproven green energy projects raise costs and undercut jobs.

Again, 29% voted for #1, while #2 got 46% of the votes and #3 got 25%. NOTE: Moderate are even more skewed with 58% for #2 and only 23% for #1.

Third item: Transgender controversy; 3 choices

1 - States should protect all transgender youth by providing access to puberty blockers and transition surgeries if desired,  and allowing them to participate fully in all activities and sports as the gender of their choice. (align with Democrat Party)
2 - States should protect the rights of transgender adults to live as they want but implement stronger regulations on puberty blockers, transition surgeries and sport participation for minor transgender.
3 - States should ban all gender transition treatments for minor and stop discussion of gender ideology in all public schools.

#1 Choice is unquestionably the default position of the Democrat Party and any disagreement is consider transphobic or bigotry... Yet only about 26% of Democrats took this position while (surprisingly) the most vote getter is #3 with 41% of the votes and about a third of the voters pick #2.
Among moderate - 47% pick #2, 37% picked #3 while only 17% pick #1.

Interestingly, among Independents: only 15% favored the Democrat Party position while 42% and 43% favored #2 & #3, respectively.

This survey also revealed that the very liberal Democrats (make up less than 25% of Democrats) voted overwhelmingly with the position of the Democrat Party:
65% supported the view of the Democrat Pary on immigration, 69% voted on climate and energy and 71% went along with the Democrat Party on transgender.
