A person stands out among others after being tamed.
« on: February 09, 2025, 12:50:46 PM »
``To me, you are still nothing more than a little boy, who is just like a hundred thousand other little boys. And I have no need of you. And you, on your part, have no need of me. To you I am nothing more than a fox, like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other."--The Little Prince, St. Exupery.

Anyone we tame can be our need.  :2funny: :2funny:

Anyways, yeah, a lot of people stay with the person whom they feel the most comfortable with and who will take their crap.

A friend whose spouse was a serial cheater told me that is why they stayed in the marriage. There is no love but a strong level of comfortability that they didn't find in anyone else.

The experts call it co-dependency.
