24 he said?  Now, like the groceries issue, he’s back tracking. Yeah so much for America’s hero.

US President-elect Donald Trump has assured that he will not abandon Ukraine in his attempts to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian war,  Time reports in a large article dedicated to Trump's designation as "Person of the Year" . Asked if he would abandon Ukraine, Trump said he would use U.S. support for Ukraine as leverage over Russia to negotiate an end to the war. "I want to reach an agreement," he said, "and the only way to reach an agreement is to not leave Ukraine," assured the US president-elect. The publication recalls that during the election campaign, Trump liked to boast about the promise that he could conclude a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine within 24 hours. Now he has admitted that it will be more difficult than he showed. "The Middle East is a problem that is easier to solve than what is happening with Russia and Ukraine. The number of young soldiers dead lying everywhere in the fields is staggering. What is happening there is crazy," Trump said. Trump criticized Kiev for launching American-made missiles into Russian territory. "I don't agree with sending missiles tens of kilometers deep into Russia. Why are we doing this?" he asked. "This only leads to escalation," he added. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he does not take Donald Trump's election promise to end the war in Ukraine "within 24 hours" literally.

Believe Zelensky when he says he doesn't believe Trump
will or can end the war within 24 hours literally.

Why is the news holding Trump to such unbelieveable statement? Why do
a lot of people even think of that statement as a promise? A promise is
deeper than that and more committed than that.

No one with an intelligent mind should believe anyone could
end a war in that timeframe. Plus, Trump is simple-minded.
He just says things without knowing the depth of what the issues are.
