If you look at the state level, yes... GOP run states have the highest Crime rate. However, where are these crimes happening? Well, you have to dig deeper... most of these crimes are happening in major cities in these states. So, if you look at the cities with the highest crime rate... they are run by Democratic Mayor. And these high violent crimes cities are in GOP run states.

David Pakman, a paid Democrat influencer in YT, even go as far as claiming that you can't focused on cities but on an area... and says that cities are more dense, more populated, therefore more crimes. So, you can't blame cities for the high crime rates.
