A few black&white stickers with caption "White Lives Matter" and "Straight Pride" is being treated as "HATE" speech in Mt. Clemens, MI.
Some people find them very offensive and the cops are investing them.
Mr. Johnson, who is Black and owned a business, on that block describes the repeated incidents as harassment against the community. “Everyone knows we’re not intimidated. We won’t be. Things like that will always be taken down here.”
But you left the Black Lives Matter and Gay Pride alone and you didn't find it harassing at all?
Other businesses chimed in... “We’re very disappointed. We’re a close-knit community for being a big community and we think everybody matters,” said Lisa Taylor, co-owner of Paperback Writer Book Store and Weirdsville Records.
Obviously not everyone matters because you have issue with 'White' or 'Straight' people.
“We don't stand for it. This is an all-inclusive community. It always has been and it always will be. Everyone is welcome, but keep those thoughts to yourself,” said Diane Kubik, owner of Max & Ollie’s.
Inclusive only for Black and gays, right? No Whites or Straight people are allow huh?
Longtime community member and volunteer Lee Gothro echoed those sentiments. “We’re not going back — we’re going forward and we’re going to take as many people as we can with us,” Gothro said.
So, going forward means discrimination against those that don't share your views.
“I was shocked at first and then extremely defensive of my community because I know that’s not the values of our community. We’re a diverse community. We have so many different types of people that belong to our community and we always feel strongly that that is a point of pride for us." Mayor Laura Kropp said.
Liar... you're not a diverse community and accepting of all if you have issues against Whites and Straight people.
Stop calling yourself 'inclusive, diversity' when you discriminate against Whites and Straight people... If you're allow to post BLM or Gay Pride on city walls, streets, public places, etc etc Why is it hate speech when other posts "White Lives Matter" or "Straight Pride" also?
