« on: August 04, 2026, 10:03:40 PM »
Carp has a mud vein that can be de-vein...No wonder...some people don't mind carp....LOL

I remember a time me and a friend went carp fishing. Dude must of reel in at least 10, but as soon as they got to the shore, they got away...The Carp God must of known, we were fishing them not to eat, but for crab bait....Not sure if that is legal...lol I just went to enjoy the outdoors..

How to cook? Laj is a good thing. So, too, can carps be roasted and the heads make great soups.

The blood veins are where the mercury gets stuck at. Eat them and  you'll have extra mercury flavor. :2funny:

You can remove the veins by slicing them off.

I went to a meeting with some elders. They were bragging about such big carps they caught and were now
serving whole roasted on the table. No vein was removed. I knew it wasn't good, but I kept my mouth shut
just so I wouldn't be ruining a meal.

You mean  you skip salmons? Damn! You're lacking Omega-3, a healthy, essential vitamin.

I think they've sold them to the Asian stores. That's how we get them up north and west. Then the eggs
fall through the gutters and more hatch around everywhere.

The various games commissions are out of ideas on how to stop them from spreading.
