Israeli accused of making sex videos after serving drug-laced cakePolice have arrested a 54-year-old Israeli man accused of serving drug-laced cake to women he met through a dating app before having sex with them and filming videos.The suspect, identified only as Tomer and nicknamed “Tom Yum Kung”, was initially charged with overstaying his visa by 5 years and 9 months.He denied the other allegations and claimed that an influential person would secure his release and have the arresting officers transferred, Pol Maj Gen Theeradej Thamsuthee, a deputy Bangkok police chief, said on Saturday.Police raided a room at a condominium on Pracha Uthit Road in Huai Khwang district after receiving a tip-off from the Bangkok office of the Narcotics Control Board.The suspect was identified as an Israeli man with an eagle tattoo on his left arm, Pol Maj Gen Theeradej said.According to the tip-off, the suspect invited women he met through a dating app to his room and served them cake before having sex with them. The encounters were recorded on a mobile phone, which police also found in the room.The cake was suspected of containing substances that could cause hot flushes and increase sexual desire, Pol Maj Gen Theeradej said.After searching the room, police seized a tray of unbaked cakes, 15 grammes of crystal meth, 50 empty packets and a weighing scale.A 44-year-old Thai woman, identified only as Phatchanok, was present in the room during the raid. She also faced drug-related charges, police said.Police said they also found Mr Tomer’s online chats relating to drug sales. However, he refused to take a drug test and denied ownership of the seized drugs.While in custody, Mr Tomer reportedly told officers that an influential person would intervene to secure his release within two hours. He demanded the names of the arresting officers and threatened to have the entire team transferred or dismissed.The arresting team subsequently handed both suspects and the seized evidence over to investigators at Huai Khwang police station for legal proceedings.
