Thank you Summer for coming into my life. I love the beautiful sunsets you provide. I love the insects and animal species that dwell in your timeless season of giving.

A Psalm of Life By Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

What The Heart Of The Young Man Said To The Psalmist.

Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
   Life is but an empty dream!
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
   And things are not what they seem.

Life is real! Life is earnest!
   And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou art, to dust returnest,
   Was not spoken of the soul.

Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,
   Is our destined end or way;
But to act, that each to-morrow
   Find us farther than to-day.

Art is long, and Time is fleeting,
   And our hearts, though stout and brave,
Still, like muffled drums, are beating
   Funeral marches to the grave.

In the world’s broad field of battle,
   In the bivouac of Life,
Be not like dumb, driven cattle!
   Be a hero in the strife!

Trust no Future, howe’er pleasant!
   Let the dead Past bury its dead!
Act,— act in the living Present!
   Heart within, and God o’erhead!

Lives of great men all remind us
   We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
   Footprints on the sands of time;

Footprints, that perhaps another,
   Sailing o’er life’s solemn main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
   Seeing, shall take heart again.

Let us, then, be up and doing,
   With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing,
   Learn to labor and to wait.

'The Biology of Belief' - Dr. Bruce Lipton

This is one the best books that I have read towards an understanding of self, life, and happiness.

"Better than meditation is the renunciation of the fruits of actions." - Krishna (the Bhagavad Gita)

For through renunciation one can attain peace of mind.

There are three gates to hell: Lust, anger, and greed. Got to get rid of my lust.  ;D

When Banzan was walking through a market he overheard a conversation between a butcher and his customer.

"Give me the best piece of meat you have," said the customer.

"Everything in my shop is the best," replied the butcher. "You cannot find here any piece of meat that is not the best."

At these words Banzan became enlightened.

When I first saw this Zen story, I take "Everything in my shop is the best" to be mean that everyone in life is aiming for their best. Per the wise teacher Eckhardt Tolle, it means that as a person, we need to accept that everything in our life is best, and we shall find peace and happiness.

Bohemian Rhapsody is not just song, but it's a story of our lives when we do not make better decisions and do something which cannot be undone.
